Wolves fall in OT to Texas

Forward Jason Dickinson scored 21 seconds into overtime to guide the Texas Stars to a 2-1 overtime victory over the Chicago Wolves on Tuesday night at Allstate Arena.

Forward Brandon Pirri scored the lone goal for the Wolves (4-9-2-1), who fell in extra time for the second game in a row.

The Wolves dominated the first two periods with 27 shots to Texas' 12, but the Stars (9-8-0-1) scored the only goal in the first 40 minutes on defenseman Matt Mangene's tap-in at 14:25 of the second period.

Chicago rallied to forge a 1-1 knot with Pirri's power play at 8:13 of the third period.

Landon Bow (4-3-0) stopped 31 shots to earn the win while Kasimir Kaskisuo (2-6-1) posted 18 stops.

The Wolves acquired all-time AHL shutouts leader Michael Leighton on loan from the NHL's Arizona Coyotes earlier Tuesday. The 36-year-old five-time AHL All-Star dressed, but did not play.
