Boys soccer: Glenbard West, Wheaton North advance at Schaumburg

Glenbard West picked up a victory in penalty kicks against Class 3A boys soccer regional host Schaumburg on Wednesday.

The Hilltoppers came away with a 2-1 decision and advance to a regional final matchup against Wheaton North, a 4-0 winner against Conant in the other semifinal Wednesday.

Glenbard West and Wheaton North will meet for the regional championship at 2 p.m. Saturday at Schaumburg.

Evanston 7, Prospect 2: Class 3A regional host Evanston rolled past the Knights and earned a spot in the regional final against Loyola, which advanced by edging Niles West 2-1.

West Chicago 6, Rolling Meadows 0: The host Wildcats ended Rolling Meadows' season and will meet Lake Park, a 1-0 winner against Bartlett, for the regional title.
