Girls golf: Lee ignites BG to win

It was hot and humid at the Rob Roy Golf Course in Prospect Heights on Wednesday.

And Buffalo Grove's Haeri Lee was sizzling.

The senior shot a 1-over par 37 to help lead the Bison to a 184-193 Mid-Suburban League triumph over the host Huskies.

Completing the Bison card were Zoe Childs (47), Alisa Patel (49) and Claire McLoone (51).

Senior Claire Rogowski's 44 led the hosts followed by Mara Slosar (48), Krista Thuer (49), Kelly Hannon (52).

Barrington d. Fremd: With freshman Stephanie Su earning medalist honors with a 39, Barrington remained undefeated in the MSL with a 163-211 win over visiting Fremd at the Makray Memorial Golf Course (par 35) in Barrington.

Other top scorers for the Fillies were Maggie Hoffman (41), Caroline Smith (41), Swetha Seshadri (42) and Nicole Ciskowski (42).

Fremd was led by Kellie Liu (49), Aerin Oh (51), Shreyah Prasad (55) and Liz Prigge (56).

Prospect d. Schaumburg: Sophomore Kelly Kavanagh shot a 39 to lead the Knights to a 174-191 MSL win at the Schaumburg Golf Course.

Emily Fleming contributed a 44, followed by teammates Margherite Pettenuzzo (45) and Emma Gries (46).

Jennifer Cappello led the Saxons with a 43, followed Trinity Corwin (48), Cheyenne Harris (50) and Tatiana Cooper 50.

Wheeling d. Palatine: Led by junior Adrienne Rohwedder and sophomore Symantha Rohwedder, Wheeling edged the host Pirates 190-192 at Palatine Hills. Cindy Dang (53) and Elena Falkiner (55) rounded out the Wildcats' card.

Jenny Myslinski paced the hosts by earning medalist honors with a 37. She was followed by teammates Olivia Radtke (51), Meghan Fortunuato (52) and Ariel Blanchard (52).

Rolling Meadows d. Elk Grove: The host Mustangs won 212-220 at Arlington Lakes in Arlington Heights.

Taylor Lindsey's 48 led the home team followed by Nicole Von Oesen (54), Mallory Brand (54) and Caroline Smith 56.

Maggie Cronin paced the Grenadiers with a 52 followed by Grace Majer (53), Kelly Walter (55) and Hannah Siebert (60).
