Cubs vs. Washington Nationals at Wrigley Field

Pitching matchups: The Cubs' Carlos Zambrano (7-4) vs. Garrett Mock (2-5) Tuesday at 7:05 p.m.; Rich Harden (8-7) vs. J.D. Martin (2-3) Wednesday at 7:05 p.m.; Randy Wells (9-6) vs. John Lannan (8-9) Thursday at 1:20 p.m.

At a glance: This begins a stretch of 24 of 40 games at home for the Cubs, who are 35-22 at Wrigley Field. The Cubs took three of four at Washington after the all-star break. The Nationals are managed by former Cubs skipper Jim Riggleman. Outfielder Adam Dunn, a longtime Cubs nemesis, has 7 homers and 16 walks vs. Zambrano. The Nationals are sixth in runs and second in OBP in the National League, but they're last in ERA, at 5.02. The Cubs rank 10th in runs and OBP and fifth in ERA, at 3.88.
