Games this year in which White Sox pitcher Mark Buehrle gave up 10 or more hits - more than any other White Sox pitcher and one shy of his career high (2004, '06). By contrast, John Danks never gave up 10 hits, and Gavin Floyd did so only once. Buehrle surrendered 10 hits in 7 innings in Game 2.



Combined times that White Sox sluggers Jermaine Dye and Nick Swisher were on base in Game 2. Swisher scored one time, Dye none.


Since late June, span of at-bats for Rays' second baseman Akinori Iwamura, including 6 in the ALDS, during which he hit 1 home run. Iwamura hit a 2-run homer in the fifth inning.


Players who had at least 1 hit, of the 18 starters. Only the White Sox' Brian Anderson went hitless. In Game 1, seven starters were hitless, although Tampa Bay's Carlos Pena had only 1 at-bat before leaving with blurred vision.


Consecutive pickoff attempts by White Sox pitcher Mark Buehrle before he gave up Akinori Iwamura's home run in the fifth inning. Buehrle made two other pickoff tries earlier in the game.


Called third strikes taken by White Sox batters in the eighth inning, capped by Nick Swisher looking at three straight strikes after working a 3-and-0 count.

Rays who started at least 120 games this season, led by Akinori Iwamura's 151. The White Sox had nine players start at least that many games.
