Tri-Cities park districts able to fill lifeguard, swim instructor jobs, but could use a few more applicants

Jun 1, 2023 1:11 PM - Stories about lifeguard or swim instructor shortages were common throughout the country during the pandemic. When contacting local pool supervisors last week, we learned things are relatively back to normal, though the pools can always use a steady stream of applicants.

State’s attorney finds no tampering in April election

An investigation by the Kane County state’s attorney’s office found no tampering with actual vote totals in the April election. However, there was some human error in getting the correct totals posted to the county clerk’s website.
