Q&A

What needs to be done to get Congress to work constructively, whether that be senators and representatives of both parties working with each other or Congress itself working with the president?

Much of time our representatives spent is on courting to relationships with many lobbing groups, instead of listening to their own constituents. It will be well served that restrictions are made to limit unobstructed access of the lobbying groups to our government. Many a times it appears that our representatives are responding to the highest bidder rather the public sentiment. Also, when the bill is proposed, the prevailing administration should give some guidance what they view as acceptable, or totally unacceptable to pass the bill. It does not make much sense when after a lengthy congressional debates President decides to veto the bill.

Do you support continuing the filibuster?

Yes, I do. Filibuster may be viewed as an imperfect tool of the American democracy, there are times when such a tool is the only means to stop passing of an undesirable bill.

What is your position on changing voter access?

I am opposed to the blanket early voting and automatic online voter registration. I think that early voting can be justified only under very special circumstances. Your employer will normally allow some time for you to cast the vote. We have done it without much complaining for two hundred years. There is nothing wrong with continuing this tradition.

Do you recognize that the election of Joe Biden as president in 2020 was legitimate and fair? If not, why?

Once the vote is in the ballot box it is hard to question it. But what many will question is how the vote got there. During the last Elections there far too many unscrutinized legislative changes which definitely contributed to questioning the Election results. Mostly, the use or early voting and mail-in voting should be curtailed. As a guide, we should Joe Biden's Delaware voting laws as the base rule for changes in the voting procedures.

What, if anything, should Congress do to prevent another violent attack such as the Jan. 6, 2021, assault on the Capitol?

Just make sure that the Capital police and the National Guard units stop the crowds instead of just letting them in. it was on display that there seem to be no effort to guard the Capitol compound.

What do you see as the most important issues to address regarding immigration reform? If you oppose funding for a wall, what steps do you support to try to control illegal immigration?

(Candidate did not answer)

What do you consider America's role in world affairs? In particular, what should our role be regarding current points of tension involving Russia/Ukraine, the future of Taiwan or other threats of Chinese expansionism and the Middle East?

If the United States is the peacemaker for the world, it should use it's power to prevent the wars. That is the best way to act. We could have stop by brining the price of gas to a dollar a gallon. Putin would have no money to conduct the war. You can do accomplish such acts only from the position of strength. Joe Biden has none. Then also, why the NATO keeps expanding relentlessly although Warsaw Pact was dissolved long ago. And finally, if we keep China to grow its military and economy unchecked, the Taiwan will be next.

Do you acknowledge humans' role in causing climate change? What steps should government be taking to address the issue?

Our plant has gone thru many climate changes and some in even in our recorded history and man's activities had absolutely nothing to do with it. This climate changing process is more determined our sun's activity than the human's. The government will not changes the cycles our plant is going thru, but the government can help in cleaning up the polluted environment, water and the air that the rest of the world contaminates. United States is a very clean country. I have seen it in China, India and elsewhere.

Please define your position on health care reform, especially as it relates to the Affordable Care Act.

I may agree with some concepts, but the government, the single payer, should never be allowed to run your health care. Let the private industry work out more affordable solutions for people that truly deserves deserve such services.
