Barrington looking for new director of public works

Barrington is hiring a search firm to find a new director of public works.

On Monday, the village board agreed to hire GovHR USA to conduct the search, for an amount not to exceed $22,000.

Village Manager Scott Anderson said Jeremie Lukowicz left the post within the past month. Lukowicz was hired in 2019, replacing Mark Werksman, who had been with the public works department since 1976 and became director in 2012.

Prior to his hiring, Lukowicz had served as assistant village engineer in Villa Park.
