Register for golf association's various social competitions

The North Shore has a good roster of high-caliber amateur golfers who may want to play in one of the Chicago District Golf Association's championships in the 2022 season.

Registration for the CDGA's 109th year of running golf championships started Jan. 18 on the district's website, www.CDGA.org.

In addition to eight championships and various qualifying tournaments, the CDGA also offers social competitions suitable for players of all ages, genders and skill levels. Registration for those events starts Jan. 31.

The CDGA championship schedule includes:

• The seventh CDGA Mid-Amateur, May 16-18, Naperville Country Club

• The 20th CDGA Senior Amateur, May 23-26, Medinah Country Club

• The 102nd CDGA Amateur, June 27-30, Glen Flora Country Club, Waukegan

• The 91st Illinois State Amateur, July 19-21, Westmoreland Country Club, Wilmette

• The seventh CDGA Amateur Four-Ball, Aug. 8-10, Ridgemoor Country Club, Chicago

• The 30th Illinois State Mid-Amateur, Aug. 22-23, Evanston Golf Club

• The 36th Illinois State Senior Amateur, Sept. 19-21, Riverside Golf Club

• The seventh CDGA Senior Amateur Four-Ball, Sept. 26-29, Crystal Lake Country Club
