Geneva short-story contest entries due Feb. 28

Entries are due Feb. 28 for the Geneva Cultural Arts Commission's second "Geneva Write Now" short-story contest.

The contest is open to middle and high school students, and adults. "Family-friendly" fiction and nonfiction, with a maximum of 1,200 words, will be accepted. Geneva must be mentioned in the storyline.

Geneva Chamber of Commerce gift certificates will be awarded as prizes.

Submit typed hard-copy entries to the commission at City Hall, 22 S. First St., Geneva IL 60134. Entries may also be submitted on the city's website, geneva.il.us. The contest is limited to the first 100 entries received.
