Volunteers sought for Lake County homeless count

Lake County is seeking volunteers for the annual Point-in-Time Homeless Count.

Beginning at 10 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26 to 2:30 a.m. Jan. 27, teams will search throughout Lake County to interview and offer assistance to unsheltered people. The data captures a picture of what homelessness looks like on any given day, and helps coordinate services for the homeless.

This year, volunteers are asked to create their own teams of two to eight people.
