Naperville Park District extends golf season

The Naperville Park District will extend the golfing season by keeping its courses open through Thursday this week.

Because no snow is expected in the near future, Springbrook and Naperbrook golf courses will remain open before closing for the holidays on Dec. 24, 25 and 31 and Jan. 1.

After Christmas, Naperbrook will close for the season while Springbrook will stay open from Dec. 26 to 30 and possibly longer, if there are moderate temperatures and no accumulated snow. Once snow accumulates and temperatures are consistently below freezing, Springbrook will close.

The staff will monitor conditions throughout the winter and open Springbrook's driving range if weather permits. Both courses may reopen if there is an extended period of warm weather.
