Police: Shot was fired as Glendale Heights resident was threatened by family member

Police responded Thursday morning after a Glendale Heights resident reported a shot fired and a threat by family member, authorities said.

The police arrived at the home on the 300 block of North Avenue at 9:24 a.m., according to a news release.

No one was injured. The victim didn't know if the family member had fled or stayed inside the home, so the DuPage Metropolitan Emergency Response and Investigation Team searched the home.

The police didn't locate the offender but has identified the person, according to the news release, and the case remains under investigation.
