Hoffman Estates hosts Hispanic Heritage Day Oct. 23
The Hoffman Estates Cultural Awareness Commission will celebrate the community's diverse culture by sponsoring a Hispanic Heritage Day Fiesta from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, at village hall, 1900 Hassell Road.
The event features the music of guitar player and singer José Verduzco, dancers representing Latin American countries, food, arts and crafts. and a piñata for the kids.
Featured speaker Andres Acosta will discuss this year's theme, "Health and Wellness." Acosta is a bilingual licensed clinical professional counselor for High School District 211.
