July 13

 

Dispute: A business in the 2300 block of Waukegan Road reported a dispute with a customer at 2:53 p.m. The customer was given trespass notice to the business and left.

July 14

Retail theft arrest: Anthony Bass, 19, of Chicago, was arrested while in custody at the Cook County Jail and charged with retail theft after an investigation of four incidents -- Jan. 22 at 2502 Waukegan Road, March 15 at 2323 Capital Drive, and April 29 and May 27 at 2775 Pfingsten Road. He was released on an I-Bond with a court date set for 9 a.m. Aug. 4 at the Skokie Courthouse.

Domestic battery arrest: Jerry Thomas, 60, of Glenview, was arrested and charged with domestic battery at his home. He was held for a bond hearing at the Skokie Courthouse.

Identity theft: A resident in the 3100 block of West Lake Avenue at 9:49 a.m. they received a text message from "UPS," then clicked on the link and sent personal information through the page.

Theft: A resident in the 400 block of Brook Lane reported at 9:45 a.m. that medication missing after several people were at the home on July 10.

July 15

Theft: A resident in the 1700 block of Wildberry Drive reported at 10:42 a.m. they purchased and provided eBay gift cards to a caller that said he could cut the resident's phone bill in half.

July 16

Burglary: A resident in the 1600 block of Palmgren Drive reported at 2:37 p.m. that, sometime within the past month, an unknown person entered their home and stole clothing and a container of protein powder. There was no forced entry to the home, and no other signs that someone had entered.

Retail theft: A business in the 9800 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported at 6:30 p.m. that a customer concealed an unknown amount of merchandise inside a bag before fleeing the store. No valid driver's license, speeding: A Chicago resident was cited at 11:45 p.m. on and then released for not having a valid driver's license and speeding after a traffic stop in the 100 block of Waukegan Road.

July 17

Arrest: Ryan O'Connor, 44, of Des Plaines, was arrested at 6:22 p.m. and charged with obstructing identification, driving with a suspended license, and having a loud muffler after a traffic stop in the 4100 block of Essex Court. He also had a valid bond forfeiture warrant for possession of a controlled substance out of Oak Park. He was held for a bond hearing at the Skokie Courthouse.

Identity theft: A resident in the 2200 block of Robincrest Lane reported at 7:40 a.m. that an unknown offender used their personal information to obtain an auto loan on May 28.

Criminal damage: A resident in the 4600 block of Laurel Avenue reported at 10 a.m. that sometime between July 5 and 7 someone used a projectile to break the rear window of his home. Reported loss is $1,000.

Identity theft: A resident in the 1900 block of George Court reported at 2:36 p.m. that an unknown offender used their personal information to open a PayPal account.

Criminal damage: A resident in the 2900 block of Glenview Road reported at 3:03 p.m. that an unknown offender damaged light bulbs on a string of lights in their yard.

Criminal damage: A resident in the 300 block of Parkview Road reported at 5:16 p.m. that an unknown offender damaged the door lock cylinder on the driver's side door of their vehicle.

Battery: A resident in the 2100 block of Chestnut Avenue reported at 10:27 p.m. that a co-worker arrived at their home and pushed them.

Theft: A resident in the 1000 block of Golfview Road reported at 11:51 p.m. that jewelry missing from the home upon inspection of property.

July 18

Trespassing: A business in the 3300 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported at 12:32 p.m. that a past customer -- who had previously been given trespass notice -- returned to the store property.

July 19

Disorderly conduct: A bus driver reported at 3:30 p.m. that a passenger yelled and screamed when they were told to put a mask on properly while the bus was in the 1100 block of Depot Street. The passenger exited the bus and waited for the next one to arrive.

Trespassing: A business in the 3300 block of Milwaukee Avenue reported a dispute with a store customer over their current and past attempts at stealing merchandise from the business at 6:25 p.m. The customer was given trespass notice to the business at the request of the manager. The customer said they understood and left the business.

July 20

Fraud: A resident in the 0-100 block of Washington Street reported wiring money after receiving a check from an unknown person.

July 21

Burglary to motor vehicle: A Chicago resident reported items stolen from her vehicle's glove compartment while it was parked, unoccupied, in the 1700 block of Glenview Road.

Dispute: An employee of a business in the 1800 block of Waukegan Road reported a customer threw a rock at a business window when they became upset. The customer left the area. No damage to the window.

July 23

Aggravated identity theft: A resident in the 1800 block of Wildberry Drive reported an unknown person attempted to use their debit card to make a purchase somewhere in Georgia. The transaction was canceled. The resident later discovered an unknown person had made 20 unauthorized purchases.

Theft: A resident in the 1500 block of Pebble Creek Drive reported a subject removed their wallet from a purse while at a business in the 2500 block of Waukegan Road. The subject made unauthorized purchases on two credit cards.

July 24

Suspicious incident: A resident in the 700 block of Carriage Hill Drive reported their dog barking and what sounded like the locked screen door rattling. The resident looked outside and saw a person wearing a white shirt running in the alleyway adjacent to their house. The resident suspects juveniles.

July 25

Arrest: Rogelio Montesino-Cruz, M, 45, 4110 Williamsburg Court, Glenview, was arrested 6:48 p.m. and charged with driving under the influence, driving while BAC over .08, no valid driver's license, operating an uninsured vehicle, and failure to signal following a traffic stop on the 4100 block of Williamsburg Court. He was released on an I-bond with a court date set for Sept. 7 at the Skokie Courthouse.

Disorderly conduct: A resident in the 2000 block of Tower Drive reported having an argument with their neighbor. The neighbors comments alarmed and disturbed the complainant.

Speeding: A 17-year old Glenview resident was cited for speeding (+25) at 7:32 p.m. in the 4000 block of West Lake Avenue. They were released on an I-bond with a court date set for Aug. 21 at the Skokie Courthouse
