Schaumburg Environmental Fair set for June 12

Hummingbirds, bees and butterflies will be among the featured subjects in the Schaumburg Environmental Fair, 1 to 3:30 p.m., Saturday, June 12 at Spring Valley Nature Center, 1111 E. Schaumburg Road in Schaumburg.

This free event for all ages is presented through a partnership with the Schaumburg Township District Library, village of Schaumburg and Schaumburg Park District. The event will also be livestreamed on the village of Schaumburg YouTube channel for those who would like to attend from home.

Presentations will take place that require registration through the Schaumburg Park District. An online account with the park district must be established in order to register.

Presentation topics include "Attracting Hummingbirds," "Homes for Mason Bees," "Honeybees," "Monarchs," and "Schaumburg Community Bee Garden."
