Mount Prospect offering small business grants of up to $10,000

Mount Prospect is partnering with the Center for Concern to offer small business assistance grants of up to $10,000 to reimburse the costs of business interruption caused by COVID-19 mandated closures and social distancing requirements.

Applications for the program are now available online at https://centerofconcern.org/mp/?/.

The program is intended to support local retail, service, and entertainment businesses that rely on in-person transactions for their primary source of revenue and were subject to closure during Phase I and II of the state's Coronavirus Response Plan.

Eligible businesses must be located within the corporate limits of Mount Prospect. The funding must help retain or create at least one full time equivalent low- or moderate-income job, as defined by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Eligible uses include: payroll, mortgage or rent of commercial space, and PPE and supplies to operate business safely in accordance with COVID guidelines.
