Family Service Center rocks on with virtual fundraiser

Family Service Center held its critical virtual annual fundraiser on Saturday, April 17. Co-Hosts were Dr. Renee Z. Dominguez, FSC's Executive Director, and Christopher Liby of Sayre & Jones Auctioneers. Home from Mizzou (University of Missouri-Columbia) to help FSC with the event as Broadcasting Director was 2020 GBN Grad Ethan Levy. Locally renowned artist Elisa Boughner created the beautiful diptych reflection on both Resilience & Hope that set the stage for the event. The successful event to celebrate a year of Resilience & Hope raised over its modest goal of $100K. More than 350 guests participated in Saturday's event, including some key local and state officials, representatives from most of the area schools and area organizations, and so many individuals who believe in FSC's Mission to strengthen and empower families and communities by providing accessible evidence-based counseling, crisis response, outreach & education. This year's FSC Heart of the Family award, specially created by The Crystal Cave, honored the Northbrook Community Relations Commission for their efforts in championing mental wellness in the community.

FSC would like to thank its presenters for the evening: Cathy Kedjidjian, Director of Communications & Strategic Planning, Glenview School District 34; Eric Etherton, Assistant Principal, Student Services, Glenbrook North High School; Jill Brickman, Northfield Township Supervisor; Gayle Curcio, Northfield Township Community Coordinator; Tony DeMonte, Administrator for Technology, Information, and Safety, Wilmette District 39; Allison Ewing, LCSW, Inspired Life Tapping Foundation; Bruce Doughty, Chairman, Northbrook Community Relations Commission.
