Tours of Geneva Viking Ship resume Saturday

The replica ship, built in Norway for the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition to counter Christopher Columbus narratives, is at Good Templar Park, 528 East Side Drive in Geneva. Visitors can learn about the ship's construction, voyage across the Atlantic Ocean and its local history.

Tours that are self-guided or with docents are from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 17, and then on June 20, Aug. 21 and Sept. 18. Tours are also from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 17 (during Swedish Days) and Oct. 16.

Admission is $7 and free for children ages 17 and under. Tickets are required and available at vikingship.us/tours-of-viking. For private group tours, call (630) 302-7333.
