Mazzochi to host free COVID-19 testing event

State Rep. Deanne Mazzochi will host an outdoor drive-through COVID-19 and antibody testing event this week in Westmont.

The Elmhurst Republican has partnered with testing company IndiviDx to host the event in the parking lot of the Westmont Metra station. Interested test takers have the opportunity to come through 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, April 9, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 10.

Testing is free to those who do not have insurance and available to everyone, regardless of symptoms.

People testing for COVID-19 will park and stay in their cars as medical staff will approach each vehicle for testing. Those who want to get tested for antibodies will need to get out of their cars and receive the test in a sectioned-off area. Test results will be available within 24 to 48 hours.

For more information, call Mazzochi's office at (630) 852-8633.
