Schaumburg Parks seek candidates for board vacancy

The Schaumburg Park District will accept resumes through April 16 from those interested in filling a two-year vacancy on the board of commissioners due to the resignation of longtime member Mike Daniels, who is retiring out of state.

Community members who wish to be considered for the seat should email their resumes to Leanne Osmanski at leosmanski@parkfun.com.

Interviews will be arranged with selected candidates at a special meeting held for the purpose of filling the open seat.

Sitting board members will appoint a new commissioner at the May 13 board meeting to serve out the remaining two years of Daniels' term.

Commissioners help guide district operations through setting policy, approving the annual budget and serving on subcommittees. Candidates must reside within district boundaries.
