Spring break fun at Dunn Museum in Libertyville

The Bess Bower Dunn Museum, 1899 W. Winchester Road in Libertyville, is holding a variety of self-guided activities during spring break week and expanding hours from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 23, through Saturday, March 27. Different daily themes, such as gallery games, food history fun and junior archaeologist, will spark kids' imaginations and teach the stories and history of Lake County. And don't miss the "Original Jaws," a prehistoric Dunkleosteus in the museum lobby. The model of the head of the fearsome fish, which lived 375 million years ago, will be on display and a decal showing the animal and interesting facts will extend along the floor.
