Wheeling Park District St. Patrick's Party brings kids together

A group of about 35 socially distanced kids gathered Saturday to celebrate during a St. Patrick's party at the Wheeling Park District Community Recreation Center.

Shamrocks and rainbows made for a fun-filled and lucky afternoon as the kids, led by Wheeling Park District Special Event Attendant Francisco Plazola, decorated green-frosted cookies to take home.

Itzel Melesio, a park district employee, and Nicole Mueller, an intern led the children as they worked on St. Patrick's Day-themed crafts.
