Mundelein Heritage Museum to reopen

The Mundelein Heritage Museum, 601 E. Noel Drive, will reopen Saturday, March 20. Hours will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturdays and 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays. Group tours are available by appointment. The museum is maintained by the Mundelein Park and Recreation District and managed by the Mundelein Historical Commission. It is housed in the former Soo Line Railroad depot that was moved to Noel Drive in 1983 and opened as the Fort Hill Museum in 1986. It features several exhibits highlighting the area's settlement and railroad history, one-room schools, historic churches, iconic business, Saint Mary of the Lake Seminary and more.
