THE REV. DR. C. THEODORE ROOS OF NORTHBROOK

The Rev. Dr. C. Theodore Roos, 100, longtime resident of Covenant Living of Northbrook, passed away Feb. 14, 2021, from complications of COVID-19. He was born at home to Edith (Burman) and Carl Roos on July 21, 1920, his mother's birthday, at Black Acres, the family farm in Paton, Iowa. The Rev. Roos pursued his education at North Park Theological Seminary in Chicago and earned a D. Min at Garrett Theological Seminary in Evanston. Ted was the beloved husband of Marvene Morner Roos; loving father of Linda (Dr. Jack) Lissauer, of Shaker Heights, Ohio; Adonna (Peter H.) Ogilvie, of Buffalo Grove; and the late Carol Louise Steeb; cherished grandfather of eight and great-grandfather of 13; devoted brother of the late Donald E. (Phyllis and Louise) Roos, Leona (Virgil) Anderson, Paul J. (Esther) Roos, and Louise (James M.) Gustafson. He is survived by loving cousins, nieces and nephews who hold him in their hearts with thanksgiving. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
