All Schaumburg Library buildings reopen

In response to recent changes to Illinois Region 10 mitigations, Schaumburg Township District Library has reopened all its locations to the public.

"We're excited to welcome our community back into our buildings," Executive Director Annie Miskewitch said. "Public health and safety continue to be our highest priorities. With that in mind, things will still look different in the library from what many are used to."

All locations are operating with limited capacities - a maximum of 100 at the central library in Schaumburg and a maximum of 18 at the Hanover Park and Hoffman Estates branches.

In addition, all visits must be limited to one hour. All staff and patrons ages 2 and over are required to wear a face mask while inside.

Patrons not comfortable coming into the buildings can still use library services. At the central library, patrons can pick up reserved items through the drive-up window or pick-up lockers. At the branch locations, patrons can pick up reserved items through curbside pick-up.
