McHenry County Board applicants sought
McHenry County Board Chairman Mike Buehler is seeking applications to fill the vacancy left by former District 2 member Suzanne Ness, who resigned Jan. 8 to represent the 66th House District, according to a news release Wednesday.
The county board declared the vacancy at its Jan. 19 meeting for the term, which expires Dec. 1, 2022.
Interested applicants can submit a resume and/or short bio to MJBuehler@mchenrycountyil.gov as soon as possible. Applicants must be Democratic, and must live in county board District 2. A map of District 2 can be found at the McHenry County Clerk's Office webpage at
Buehler plans to submit a nominee for county board approval within the 60-day requirement.
