Aurora man dies after December shooting
An 18-year-old Aurora man who was shot late last year while in a car on the city's near east side has died from those wounds, Aurora police said.
On Wednesday, the Cook County medical examiner's office reported Mario Palacios died Monday morning at Loyola University Medical Center.
According to Aurora police, Palacios was shot about 8:30 p.m. Dec. 29 on the 1000 block Second Street and then crashed a vehicle he was driving. He was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
No arrests have been announced in connection with the shooting.
