Bloomingdale gingerbread house contest helps DuPagePads
The Bloomingdale Chamber of Commerce's gingerbread house contest has resulted in a donation of $650 to DuPagePads to help pay for meals.
Shoppers voted for their favorites at 13 businesses, with Bloomingdale Chiropractor topping the list for its "Nightmare Before Christmas" house. Second place was Platt Hill Nursery, with a greenhouse-themed house.
Participating shoppers were also entered in a contest to win a $200 cash prize. A list of the businesses participating can be found at BloomingdaleHolidays.com.
