Free COVID-19 testing at Elgin Community College

Mobile COVID-19 testing is coming this weekend to Elgin.

Kane County Health Department officials announced the Illinois Department of Public Health will host testing from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at Elgin Community College, 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin.

The testing is free and open to anyone regardless of symptoms. A phone number and name are required to receive test results but photo identification is not required.

Anyone using drive-through testing must be seated at a functioning window. Those who get in line at the site won't be permitted to exit their car.

Nasal swab testing will be performed and results can be expected in four to seven calendar days.
