COD presenting workshop about DuPage's opioid epidemic

An online workshop will focus on the opioid epidemic in DuPage County as well as treatment and recovery options.

The workshop - "The Opioid Epidemic: A Call To Action" - will debut at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, on YouTube. It's presented by the Homeland Security Training Institute at College of DuPage.

Free and open to the public, the workshop is aimed at members of the community, students, and others whose lives may have been affected or who have had a close relative or friend affected by opioids, organizers said. Viewers will learn about the opioid epidemic, DuPage's Narcan program, and treatment and recovery options that are available to help individuals battling addiction.
