Elgin man accused of stalking woman
An Elgin man has been charged with vehicular invasion and stalking of a woman with whom he once had a relationship, the Kane County state's attorney's office announced Thursday.
Prosecutors say Antonio O. Neal Jr., 31, of the 2000 block of Muirfield Circle, banged and kicked on the door to the complainant's home the morning of Nov. 1, made more than 50 phone calls to her, and sent multiple text messages.
That night, they say, Neal he drove past her residence. Later, while the complainant was sitting in her car, he approached the passenger side, said he wanted to talk, got inside, and told her to drive to the back of the driveway to hide from police.
After Neal left, he called and texted the woman multiple times, according to authorities.
Bail was set Tuesday at $125,000.
His next court date is Nov. 17.
