Dundee park pistrict facility reopens after staff member tests positive for COVID-19

The Dundee Township Park District's Rakow Center in Carpentersville reopened on Thursday, a day after it was forced to close for cleaning because a staff member tested positive for COVID-19.

The park district, according to a social media post from its Facebook account, announced it closed the facility's fitness center, indoor pool and Adult Activities Center on Wednesday, and also canceled scheduled activities to clean and disinfect the areas accessed by the staff member.

According to the Facebook announcement, it's believed no one from the public had close contact with the staff member who tested positive. Because of confidentiality laws, the park district did not provide the name of the staff member or any other personal information.

The Rakow Center reopened at 5:30 a.m. Thursday.
