A second man has been charged with reckless homicide in the Aug. 15 death of a man in West Chicago.

Charges were filed Wednesday against Xavier Deandre Brown, 28, of the 300 block of Whitewater Drive in Bolingbrook. An arrest warrant, with $50,000 bail, has been issued.

The charges allege that at 1:46 a.m. Aug. 15, Brown was driving a gray Dodge Charger and racing another vehicle when he struck Alberto Quintero-Martinez. The crash happened on Route 59.

The other vehicle was a 2018 BMW driven by Sami A. Saadat, according to court records. Saadat was charged Aug. 16 with two counts of aggravated street racing. On Oct. 1, a grand jury added a charge of reckless homicide.

Saadat, 18, of the 1200 block of Kings Court in West Chicago, is free on bail. His next court date is Oct. 21.
