Bartlett Fire District needs votes for smoke detector grant

The Bartlett Fire Protection District is seeking its residents' help in securing a grant to help fund the purchase of smoke detectors for people in need.

The fire district is in the last stage of a process to obtain the grant through State Farm's Neighborhood Assistance program.

The district needs local residents to vote for the grant from now through Oct. 2 at midnight.

Each family member who is a permanent resident of the U.S., at least 18 years old and has a valid email address can vote up to 10 times per day. The link to vote for Bartlett's grant is: neighborhoodassist.com/entry/2033276.

Not all residents can afford fire detection equipment and this grant through the fire district can help offset the cost, the district said.
