Dist. 225 board accepts Glenbrook South athletic director's resignation

The Glenbrook High School Dist. 225 board accepted the resignation of Glenbrook South Athletic Director Steve Rockrohr by a 6-0 vote late Monday night at a special meeting.

The district confirmed on Aug. 21 that an administrator had been placed on leave, pending a complete investigation, but did not specify who was on leave or why. On Sept. 18, the school said the still-unnamed administrator remained on leave.

On Sept. 16, Glenbrook South posted a job for an interim athletic director with immediate availability for the 2020-21 school year on the Frontline Education website for Northfield Township High School District 225.

Rockrohr has not returned any calls seeking comment.

Rockrohr was in his 18th year in the position. A State Award of Merit winner in 2015 from the Illinois Athletic Directors Association, he was named the IADA's Class 3A/4A athletic director of the year for the 2016-17 school year.
