Lincolnshire spring clean up Sept. 26

The village of Lincolnshire has rescheduled its annual spring clean up to Saturday, Sept. 26.

The village, in conjunction with Waste Management, offers residents an opportunity to dispose of household goods that wouldn't normally be accepted in weekly refuse collection, such as small furniture, and mattresses and box springs.

All goods must be placed at the curb by 7 a.m. Sept. 26 and must be a size manageable for one person to lift.

Appliances, household chemical waste, and landscape waste will not be accepted. Residents who wish to dispose of these items should visit the Solid Waste Agency of Lake County (SWALCO) website at www.swalco.org for disposal locations.

Spring clean up was originally scheduled for April 18, but was postponed due to COVID-19. The 2021 clean up will be in mid-April.

For questions or concerns about acceptable items for spring clean up, residents should contact Waste Management at (800) 964-8988.
