Hanover Township Mental Health Board awards funding to 3 agencies

The Hanover Township Mental Health Board approved $23,800 in funding to three agencies during its virtual meeting Aug. 25. Advance Preschool Inc. was awarded $15,000 in challenge funding for a new program that will provide an education setting for at-risk youth up to 12 years old who are not able to stay at home for remote learning. The board also awarded $7,800 in emergency funding to Fellowship Housing to support single mothers in the township with housing expenses and child-care cost increases due to the pandemic. Clearbrook's Community Integrated Living Arrangement Home in Hoffman Estates was approved for $1,000 in capital funding to provide new equipment for the facility. The agency serves individuals of all ages and disabilities from children diagnosed with developmental delays at birth, to the unique needs of seniors with disabilities, and all ages in between.
