Warrant issued for suspect in slaying of N. Chicago woman

A suspect in a fatal shooting Saturday in Waukegan remains at large.

An arrest warrant for first-degree murder was issued Monday by the Waukegan Police Department for Damar McDonald, 32, of Waukegan, who is suspected of killing Annie Nunnally, 63, of North Chicago on Saturday evening on the 600 block of McAlister Avenue in Waukegan.

Achley Cruz-Oquendo, 32, of Waukegan was arrested without incident Tuesday in Waukegan and charged with obstruction of justice in the case. Her bond was set at $250,000.

Waukegan police officers discovered Nunnally's body in the street. Police believe she was attempting to mediate an argument between two men at a party when she was shot once and ran into the street before collapsing. She was pronounced dead at Advocate Condell Medical Center.

McDonald, whose arrest warrant carries a $3 million bond, is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information should call the Waukegan Police Department at (847) 360-9001 or dial 911.
