DuPage conference names new president

Willowbrook Mayor Frank Trilla has been named president of the DuPage Mayors and Managers Conference for the 2020-2021 year.

During the past year, Trilla served as vice president of the conference. He succeeds Naperville Mayor Steve Chirico.

The conference - a coalition of 34 towns throughout DuPage County - appointed Trilla during its recent annual meeting, which was conducted virtually because of the ongoing health pandemic.

Elmhurst Mayor Steve Morley, who served this past year as the conference's legislative committee director, has been named vice president.

A 50-year resident of DuPage, Trilla was appointed a Willowbrook trustee in 2011. He was elected as mayor 2013 and reelected in 2017.

Morley was elected mayor of Elmhurst in April 2013 and reelected four years later. Before his term as mayor, Morley was elected as alderman of the 6th Ward in Elmhurst in 2007 and was reelected in 2011.
