Celebrating 55 years: Poko Loko Day Care Center is still here for you
Poko Loko Day Care Center is still up and running! Due to COVID-19, the Poko Loko Day Care Center had to close back in March, but we have now been open for two months and things are going great. No matter what is going on in the world, we are always sure to keep the kids smiling and having a good time!
In order to ensure a safe and clean environment for our staff and children, we have implemented a few new regulations. We now check temperatures at the door, monitor symptoms throughout the day, and are always cleaning and sanitizing high-touch points regularly.
Morning and afternoons look a little different, too, since the parents now drop off their kids right at the front door. Also, every staff member and child older than 2 is required to wear a face mask - but no worries - because it's a great excuse to show off your unique personality with a super-cute mask! All of the children are doing a great job at adapting to our new regulations and keeping that "Poko Loko positive attitude."
A day in the life at Poko Loko is guaranteed to bring a smile to your child's face. We are sure to start the day off with breakfast and circle time to get the children ready and prepared for the day ahead. We then have lots of free-play for the children and guided activities specific to their age group. It may be building a tower, playing dress-up, or even dancing with all of their friends. The options are endless! After reviewing our letters and numbers, it's story time. Getting hungry? Our chef is preparing a yummy and nutritious meal for lunch. Naptime is next to restore their energy. In the afternoon, there is snack time and the fun continues! We have multiple playgrounds where the kids can ride bikes, go on the jungle gym, and take a ride on the slide.
When it's time to go home, we're sad to see you go, but we're so happy that you had such a great day. Oh, and on your way out, don't forget their daily project that was created especially to be hung up high on your fridge! They look amazing!

During these hard times, we know that it may be difficult for you to be away from your child, but we want you to know that you can trust us.
