Mosquito control spraying planned for Thursday in St. Charles, Geneva

A mosquito control vendor will be conducting citywide sprays Thursday in St. Charles and Geneva to reduce the insect population in both communities.

St. Charles-based Clarke has scheduled the spraying to take place from dusk until dawn, according to a Geneva news release. The contractor uses a synthetic treatment that is safe for humans and pets, though people with asthma and other respiratory conditions are encouraged to stay indoors with their windows closed during the application.

Inclement weather could cause the mosquito spraying to be rescheduled.
