Lake County Forest Preserves offer virtual fishing program

A live virtual fishing program will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 13, at Independence Grove Forest Preserve in Libertyville.

Participants will learn the best techniques to catch bass, crappies, bluegills and northern pike. Environmental Educator Mark Hurley will discuss the history of the site, what it offers, fish adaptations and their behaviors.

Visit CFPD.org/virtual-fishing for a free ticket. A Zoom link will be emailed to registered participants. Registration closes at 12 a.m. Thursday. Email AskAnEducator@LCFPD.org with questions.
