Carol Stream police seeking info on Friday night attack

Carol Stream police are seeking additional information on a threatening encounter about 9 p.m. Friday in the 800 block of Niagara Street, ABC 7 Chicago is reporting.

Police told ABC a group of kids between the ages of 7 and 13 years old were walking home with their bicycles when a man came up behind them and grabbed a young girl in the group.

The kids were able to fight the man off before flagging down a motorist and other neighbors to call 911, officials told ABC. The man rode off on a light blue bike with skinny tires on the path between Flint and Chippewa trails.

Anyone with information is asked to call (630) 668-2167. Police Sunday said no one was available to comment on the report.
