Gunfire strikes three vehicles in Woodridge
Three vehicles were struck by bullets Thursday night in Woodridge during an altercation between two groups at an apartment complex, authorities said Friday.
The vehicles hit by gunfire otherwise were uninvolved in the episode, which began about 9:30 p.m. near the tennis courts in the Windsor Lakes apartments, Woodridge police said in a news release.
Police said several shots were fired during the disturbance, which they are investigating as aggravated discharge of a firearm and criminal damage.
When officers arrived, everyone involved in the disturbance drove away. Police said a woman and man fled in a black Kia and two men fled in a black Chevy Tahoe.
