Elgin Valley Fox Trot goes virtual
The Elgin Valley Fox Trot, now in its 43rd year, has been converted to a virtual event for 2020.
What is the Elgin Valley Fox Trot Virtual Run? If you already registered for the race, you are in the virtual run. If not, registration is still open. All you need to do is get out there and run your event (10-mile or 5K) between May 31 and June 14. Once completed, you simply log onto the Fox Trot Athlinks page (athlinks.com/event/2260), go to the "results" section and enter your time. You can then download a personalized finisher's certificate.
In addition, everyone registered will receive a special code for 20% off the 2020 Halloween Half-Marathon and 5K Chicago, the 2021 F3 Lake Half-Marathon and 5K, plus next year's Elgin Valley Fox Trot, tentatively set for June 13, 2021.
Registration will remain open until Sunday, May 31. All who register will receive their shirt and race packet in the mail by June 30; those who registered by May 11 should receive it by May 31. The "goody bag" will include a short sleeve tech T-shirt, along with the finisher's medal, and some fun surprises. The registration fee is $35.
