Lake County COVID-19 advisory group forming

Lake County Board Chairwoman Sandy Hart is forming an advisory group to help officials plan for the county's recovery from the COVID-19 crisis and for related relief efforts.

The nonpartisan group will consist of government officials and private citizens who will be asked to share their expertise and provide input on strategic needs, options and recommended priorities, according to a news release.

Members will be invited by Hart to participate. The group was announced as part of the Lake County Forward recovery initiative. It also includes a recently formed county board subcommittee that's focusing on coronavirus relief and five staff task forces focused on county operations, the pandemic's impact on the county budget, financial assistance, community resources and local businesses.
