Indian Prairie blood drive set for May 19

The Indian Prairie Parents' Council will host a blood drive in partnership with Versiti Blood Center of Illinois to help address a shortage at hospitals in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The drive is set for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, at each of the three high schools in Indian Prairie Unit District 204. Donors at least 17 years old who are in good health, or 16 with a parent or guardian's permission, will be allowed to donate blood.

The drives will be in the field house from door 32 at Waubonsie Valley High School, 2590 Ogden Ave., Aurora; in the commons from door 19 at Metea Valley High School, 1801 N. Eola Road, Aurora; and in the competition gym from door 52 at Neuqua Valley High School, 2360 95th St., Naperville.
