Lake County volunteers sewing cloth face masks for health care personnel and other professionals during the current crisis are seeking fabric donations.

They also need help from companies with industrial sewing machines. Fabric can be dropped off at Lakes Apothecary, 404 N. Seymour Ave., Mundelein.

Two Lake County women, Lisa Dixon and Karlene Mondloch, launched the effort.

Volunteers are making about 1,000 masks per week and donating them to professionals in need.
