Geneva facilities closed, meetings canceled

All city of Geneva facilities will remain closed through April in response to Gov. J.B. Pritzker's decision to extend the state's stay-at-home order.

Essential services and public safety will still be available, but nonemergency inquiries may receive a delayed response because of reduced staffing levels, city officials said in a news release. The community development department is still reviewing permits and applications, for example, but turnaround times could be longer than usual.

The city council and committee of the whole meetings scheduled for Monday have been canceled. The planning and zoning commission will not meet in April.
